A single Summit Control deployment can simultaneously support a resident using iPhone via CarPlay, a delivery driver receiving a text-based guest pass, a maintenance crew using key fobs, and a vehicle lane reading windshield tags — all managed from the same dashboard.
Mobile Access — Summit Key
The Summit Key credential turns any smartphone into an access device. It covers the widest range of user scenarios of any credential in the mid-market access control space:
- Bluetooth Auto-Open — Tap to unlock, or set to auto-open as you approach. Works on Apple iOS and Android.
- Apple CarPlay — Open your gate directly from your vehicle’s dashboard — no phone interaction required. A category-exclusive capability in the mid-market access control space.
- QR Guest Pass — Issue a time-limited, single-use or recurring pass to visitors, contractors, or delivery personnel instantly from the app.
- Apple Wallet & Google Wallet — Coming soon. Summit Key credentials in the native wallet experience already on every modern smartphone.
Call & Text Access
Residents and visitors can request entry via a voice call or text message — no app required, no prior enrollment needed. The system processes the request and triggers gate or door release, making it the most accessible option for guests, delivery drivers, and visitors who are not Summit Key users.
This capability is built into the full Ascent intercom family:

For properties or users who prefer traditional credentials, Summit Control supports the full range of 26-bit Wiegand devices:
- RFID Card Reader (40-CR1) — With SecurePass cards and fobs
- UHF Long-Range Reader (40-TR1) — With SecurePass windshield tags, ideal for vehicle access lanes requiring hands-free, drive-through entry
- Wiegand Keypad (RemotePro-KP) — PIN-based access without a credential device
